Michael comes to MVP Magazine with 10 years of Experience in journalism and publishing which include writing and editing. Michael worked at the Post-Bulletin from 2009 as a Sports Reporter, Editorial Assistant & Copy Editor. Michael will come on board as an Assistant Editor. He is a Rochester native and has a passion for local sports, particularly high school athletics. MVP is happy to have Michael on our team!
MVP Scholarship award presented to Sam Macken. Sam was selected 1st Team All-State and 1st Team All-Section in Class AA Fast-pitch Softball. Currently holds eight individual records at Lourdes: season batting average (0.595), hits (47) and OBP (0.689). Macken will play at the U of MN next year. She was also Big 9 All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention in hockey last season. — at Mayo Civic Auditorium.
Mayor Ardell Brede presents MVP Magazine Scholarship award to Broc Berge! Kasson-Mantoville Wrestling & Football, Berge finished the 2011-2012 season with a 48-0 record including 28 wins by pin. He captured his 2nd MN High School wrestling championship and was named and All-State wrestler for the 3rd time in his career. Berge will wrestle for the U of Iowa next year. He was also an All-State Honorable mention football player for K-M. Congrats Broc! — at Mayo Civic Auditorium.
